How SelectLess works

  2. Swipe through suggestions. Yes, No, or Maybe on each one — real places, with real photos.

  3. Watch it learn as you go. SelectLess favors what you keep and steers away from what you pass on, refining the deck in real time.

  4. Review your shortlist. Save it as an image or share it as a PDF whenever you're ready.

Frequently asked questions

Do I need to create an account?

No. SelectLess works immediately, with no sign-in and no account of any kind.

Why didn't a suggestion have a photo?

Photos come from Google Places, and not every place has one available. When that happens, SelectLess shows a clean placeholder instead — the suggestion itself is unaffected.

Why do suggestions sometimes take a moment to load?

The very first request in a while can take a couple of seconds longer while our server wakes back up — this is normal and only happens occasionally. Everything after that should feel instant.

Does SelectLess work offline?

No — generating suggestions and fetching photos both need an internet connection, since they're powered by live services.

How do I start over with a fresh deck?

Tap Reset at any point during a decision flow to clear the current session and start again from your prompt.

What data does SelectLess collect about me?

Very little, and none of it identifies you. See the full privacy policy for the details.

Troubleshooting

The app shows an error and won't load suggestions

Check your internet connection first. If it's connected and the issue persists, force-quit SelectLess and reopen it — this resolves the vast majority of reported issues.

The share or save button isn't responding

Make sure you have at least one place kept or marked maybe — those buttons are disabled on an empty shortlist by design.
