Photos come from Google Places, and not every place has one available. When that happens, SelectLess shows a clean placeholder instead — the suggestion itself is unaffected.
The very first request in a while can take a couple of seconds longer while our server wakes back up — this is normal and only happens occasionally. Everything after that should feel instant.
No — generating suggestions and fetching photos both need an internet connection, since they're powered by live services.
